ASL HFD have added milk dispensing machines to their product portfolio. The milk dispensing machines are a new way of selling milk where a customer fills their own container from a dispensing machine in a supermarket or retail outlet.
The machines are refrigerated and dispense any denomination of milk in 100ml units. They can be either coin / card / or manually operated to release the milk.
As General Manager Bala Murali said, The dairy industry is a fast growing industry in Kenya and with the arrival of a supermarket culture is rural areas, the milk dispensing machines deliver lower cost milk as packaging costs are remove. We expect to capture a 40% market share by the end of 2016 with our locally manufactured competitive advantage.
