Every year for the past 14 years‚ Lewa has hosted the Lewa Safari Marathon‚ a unique fund-raising event organised by Tusk Trust that attracts participants from all over the world. The event was held on 25th June 2022.From professional athletes‚ fitness enthusiasts‚ amateurs and spectators‚ this annual race brought the world to Lewa. By taking part, every single participant played a huge role in helping local communities and raising awareness of the threats facing Africa’s incredible wildlife.
In 2022, Safarilink and Travelshoppe were proud to take part in the Marathon by sponsoring a team each. Congratulations to those who participated and played a part in raising awareness and furthering the initiatives of Tusk Trust and the marathon beneficiaries.
