It consists of two machines, one for printing on the barrels of the pens which uses screen printing technology with a maximum output of 5000 impressions an hour. The other pad printing machine is used for printing on the clips of the pens and uses pad printing techniques with the maximum printing capacity of 2500 impression per hour.<\/p>\n
Both the machines use high quality UV inks and UV printing method, which is different from conventional printing whereby the drying is by hot air, but in UV process, the ink dries through a completely different photomechanical process as the printed components are exposed to ultraviolet lights thus resulting in less evaporation of solvents and much less absorption of the ink into the stock. This leaves a very bright, sharp and shiny imprint on every piece. The biggest advantage of UV printing is that there are fewer emissions of volatile organic compounds into the environment.<\/p>\n
