The bright and sunny morning of 2nd<\/sup> February 2019, saw all the HR teams alongside Health & Safety converge at St. Paul\u2019s University Grounds, Limuru for an exciting line up of Team building activities. The event was facilitated by Dr. Peter Nthiga of Knowledge Resource Centre.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The day was filled with fun, laughter and lots of lessons to take home.\u00a0As the group enjoyed\u00a0the lush green fields and fresh atmosphere,\u00a0they also got to know each other better and understand their diversity in terms of\u00a0day to day\u00a0HR operations in spite of working for the same group of\u00a0companies. The purpose of the event was to transform HR Officers from being just operational and waiting-to-be told attitude to business partners, supporting CEOs in all-around business spheres.\u00a0\u00a0 Two\u00a0months later we have witnessed significant improvement in how we relate\u00a0to\u00a0each other, opened doors for\u00a0inter-company consultations and\u00a0more activities on the Group\u2019s HR\u00a0WhatsApp.\u00a0The team is more cohesive and open to each other\u00a0making it easier to communicate and also,\u00a0like the HR Director\u00a0likes putting\u00a0it, there was\u00a0tremendous opportunity to\u00a0“learn, unlearn and re-learn”\u00a0from each other<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
